What is so special about Turkish Peshtemal Towels?

Posted by Pınar Unek on

Turkey is known to produce some of the highest quality cotton in the world and with this they produce some of the best cotton products.

Made by 100% Turkish cotton

Peshtemals are great products because they are made using 100% Turkish cotton. Turkish cotton has extra-long fibers which makes them stronger, smoother and amazingly absorbent.

Peshtemals are made using flat-weave so you won’t find ‘loops’ in them like in terry towels. The cotton gets softer and fluffier overtime provided you follow the care instructions. They are much more friendly to the environment because they take up less space in your washing machine and should not be tumble dried.

Here is what’s so special about Turkish Peshtemal Towels:

Lightweight and Thinness

It is lightweight so they do not stay damp for long thanks to their lightweight and thinness, which also means that they do not smell.

Absorbent

It is absorbent and can be used everywhere where people meet with water.

Quick-dry

It dries very quickly because peshtemals are so thin it air dries very quickly.

Compact

It is compact so takes up less space making it ideal to take on holiday, take to the gym or carry in your bag for a chilly evening.

Versatile

It is also a very versatile so you can use a peshtemal as a beach towel, a scarf, a throw or blanket and it can also be used as a bath towel.
