Are Turkish hammam towels absorbent?
Hammam towel is a traditional Turkish towel and they are absolutely an absorbent towels. Hammam Towel is made from 100% Turkish cotton. Turkish cotton has long fibres and it is these fibres that make hammam towel so absorbent.
To make hammam towels more absorbent:
You need to soak it in cool water overnight when you first purchase it. This will allow the cotton fibres to bloom and become softer and more absorbent. In the morning, wring the hammam towel and allow it to air dry completely before you wash it at 30°C. without using any fabric conditioner or bleach.
